Repairs to educational tuned percussion musical instruments
Music is an important part of the school curriculum so don’t allow your valuable resources to fall into disuse simply because a suspension rubber has perished, a peg is bent, or for the want of a little glue.  We repair most tuned and hand-held percussion instruments used for primary education such as
  • xylophones
  • metallophones
  • glockenspiels
  • hand-held percussion instruments
  • plastic wind instruments (eg recorders)
We can also do custom modifications such as adding castors to large instruments, or adding 'lift-off' bars to help prevent damage to certain types and brands of instruments.
Typical problems we can fix:
  • Perished or damaged suspension rubbers
  • Cracked, split or broken woodwork and sound-boxes
  • Bent or broken pins
  • Dull, dead or buzzing notes
  • Replace and tune missing bars
  • Broken mallets
  • Recorders with cracked or broken joints
  • Broken hand-held instruments
Something else to repair? Please ask us!

Please note that we do not repair drums, strings or wooden/metal wind instruments.
The cost of repairing an old instrument that has seen better days is usually less than half to a third of the cost of buying a new instrument. Maximise the cost-effectiveness to your limited music budget and restore your old and broken instruments to full working order. Our rates are very reasonable, and we can even collect the instruments and deliver again after repair in the Perth metro area (additional charges).

Contact us now to arrange for your instruments to be returned to serviceable condition.

"Thank you so much for the work you have done on the instruments - they looked good in the photo but they are even better now that we have them back at our school.  The students are all excited to be playing them and its lovely to hear them telling each other to be careful because "the music repairman has done such a good job - remember what they looked like"." - LH, Music and Visual Arts Teacher
